Back in Chile- Now in english

This blog kept our families and friends updated while we lived in San Francisco, California. Now that we are back in Chile, it will work the other way around. We will keep our friends in San Francisco informed of our whereabouts in the southern hemisphere.
We landed in the Santiago Airport today, July 2nd, at 5.30 am  local time (2.30 San Francisco) Martina stayed awake until 11.30 and then woke up when we landed, tired but in good spirits as always. Our parents were waiting for us at the airport (that's love right?) and luckily, Pablo could save his equipment from going down in the luggage compartment AND didn't pay fees on the way in by using all of his 5 in the morning charm. All the luggage arrived, so that will help with my mental health.
Santiago is still huge, smoggy and has horrible traffic, but at least it was not cold. What might also mean that San Francisco is always so cold that we are brainwashed and actually consider this warm. I was wearing a sleeveless t shirt while everybody else wore wool sweaters and jackets.
So stay in touch and as soon as we have some pictures I'll post them.
Love,

Mariana
